Seasonally available with local organic artichokes and garlic, off-season Peru-grown and marinated. The long coastal arc from Pescadero and southern San Mateo County down to south of Gilroy, Watsonville and Monterey has long been the central growing region in California for both garlic and artichokes. These have, of course, long inspired the area favorite flavored bread.
